Perfection as a quest. There are grapes that promise to be gorgeous, like a promise of happiness. This happens when nature, the terroir and the sun align in a special and perhaps unrepeatable year. And so you can’t help but take up the challenge of perfection. With a desire to retain the exceptionality of that magic coincidence and strive for the best. There’s the pressure of keeping that promise, creating the most balanced, elegant, expressive and long lasting of wines.

 Ilmerlot is made only in the finest years for Merlot grapes. For us the first great vintage was in 1990. Then we decided to wait for another harvest that would be equally good. A harvest that allowed us to vinify Merlot grapes pure:
the miracle occurred again for the 2001 and the 2003. Thanks to lengthy maceration and 10-month refinement in barrique, the wine has given us a splendid deep garnet color, intense scents of ripe red fruits, complexity and finesse that weave together and accompany very fine tannins.
An engrossing wine that gives great satisfaction through time:
a big Ca’ del Bosco red.
